I can feel the long ticket lines already. What seems to be a not-so-packed third novel from the trilogy, The Hunger Games have taken the two-part finale, stretching material that can be done with one movie. As much as I would like to be excited for the movie, I can already feel the strain of trying to get good seats that are optimal for viewing and yet as far away from gasping, giggling fan-people who could not contain their excitement for the movies. This is a bit darker in tone from the previous two movies, as it's now constraint to the battle field instead of the luscious worlds the Games are set in. Hopefully it lives up to Catching Fire, but based on this trailer, I'm not keeping my hopes too high.
I just hope they spiced it up enough, considering nothing happens in the first half of Mockingjay.
ReplyDeleteAll the exciting scenes happen in the latter part, I wish that they'd just stick to making this one movie. The whole book was basically a battle scene.
DeleteI'd love to be excited for the third movie, but I'm not very anxious about it for some reason. The third book was a letdown and I just wonder where in the story they are going to split it into two films. :P
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those books where one movie will suffice because there's really not much surprises anymore when it comes to the second half. Everything was happening really fast in the book, I'd hate it if they linger too long on District 13 because the bulk of events really happen outside.
