Thursday Movie Picks: 2018 Movies You're Looking Forward To

Thursday Movie Picks is hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves. For entries of other participants and themes for the year, head over to her site. This week is about movies we're anticipating for next year. I researched a bit on this as there's a lot. Here are my picks for the week.

Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda - I found out that there is an adaptation for the book from checking out releases for the year. I'm not the biggest fan of Nick Robinson after his horrible performance in Jurassic World, but I did like this book. I can't imagine him playing Simon though.

Ready Player One - I also read the book and thought it has potential to be adapted. When it was announced that there was going to be one, it definitely landed a spot on my watch list.

Ocean's Eight - A lot of fantastic women in one movie? Sign me up!

  1. Ready Player One and Ocean's Eight are both in my shortlist that I'm currently working on for films to see in 2018 but I kind of went with a different approach as it's more about auteurs. And they changed the name of the first film to Love, Simon.

  3. I feel like the only person on the planet who didn't like Ready Player One. It just didn't work for me. I'll have to look up Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. I've never heard of that.

  5. Looking forward to the Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda adaptation. I haven't read the book but know of it.

Now Ready Player One I've read but I didn't like that much. So in a way the movie could not disappoint.
