Thursday Movie Picks: Museum

One of the places I like to visit nowadays are museums. Be it about classical, contemporary, or modern art, museums are a place to absorb culture and to broaden one's horizon when it comes to visual arts. While I have yet to fully appreciate the more finer things about museums, here are some movies that partly takes place inside a museum.

Juliet, Naked
Annie is a local history museum curator who begins a correspondence with Tucker Crowe, a once famous singer who has since disappeared from the spotlight. During Tucker's visit to Annie's hometown, she takes him to the opening of the exhibit she curated, which narrated the town's summer in the 1960's.

National Treasure
The museum plays a part in this movie about a treasure hunter adamant in solving a hidden treasure map to reclaim the honor of his family (who were all treasure hunters). The museum's biggest highlight is the Declaration of Independence heist.

The Spy Who Dumped Me
The pivotal scene in this Mila Kunis/Kate McKinnon starrer ends in a museum in what was a showdown between everyone involved in the adventure caper both women had found themselves in the middle of.

Thursday Movie Picks is hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves.

  1. National Treasure was good fun. That's the only one I've seen so far. I know I'll be seeing The Spy Who Dumped Me soon, and probably Juliet, Naked, too.

  2. I've only seen National Treasure, which was just okay. I wasn't crazy about those films but my husband absolutely loves them.

    1. I really liked the novel it was based from. In hindsight, I should have probably re-read the book again as I don't remember much from it at all.
