Rough Night

Rough Night deals with a group of friends having a supposedly fun bachelorette weekend, only to find themselves in trouble when they accidentally kill a guy. It is headlined by a bunch of comedic stars and some well known names to give it star power. By the way the trailer looked, it should have been a lot of fun with hijinks, but the movie either missed its mark or didn't know where to position itself - or possibly both.

Chef

Chef is Jon Favreau's latest offering about a man who has lost passion on a lot of things in his life. Despite being one of the celebrated chefs in the culinary world, Carl has succumbed to a lifeless manner of preparing food, cooking the same dishes over and over again. It's not that he is uninspired - we immediately get a glimpse of the new cuisine he wanted to prepare a critic, but due to his failed experimentation years ago, and the restaurateur's desire to serve what works, the critic has immediately lashed out Carl's talent, sending the chef into a craze rampant. After quitting his job, and throwing a rampage in public, he has lost all perspectives to cooking, until his ex-wife brought him to Miami with her, and he finally went with the food truck idea she had been prodding him about ages ago.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Of all the members of The Avengers, Captain America can be considered the most patriotic of them all. He was always concerned about serving his people, and it was a mission he kept through and through. He led soldiers into victorious fights, and even came to a point of sacrificing his own life for the sake of the better good. In his third movie, he was no different - willing to go the extra mile for the protection of mankind. While the first movie divulged in his history and origin, the second one brings us up to date with his work as a member of SHIELD, and how his past has somewhat caught up with him.

Don Jon was the directorial debut of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, one of the finest actors working in the industry today. It was a good debut for the actor; the film was certainly entertaining. It was geared towards men, but has elements that appeal to female viewers as well. It definitely had its mix of comedy, romance and drama, and did not fail to meet expectations. It has more than what it leads on, and despite the hasty finish, it did have its momentum and an enjoyable cast to go with it.
