I still don't know what I feel about Cara Delevingne playing the lead girl (it looks like it works on some scenes and yet there's something completely off about her portrayal) but I would definitely be watching this. Paper Towns is the first John Green novel I've read and hopefully the adaptation does justice to the book.
I haven't read this book, but I do like John Green.
ReplyDeleteI want to see how this turns out, as it is another coming-of-age kind of books, but still not sold on the lead girl.
DeleteSomeone called this The PG-13 Gone Girl...and that's kind of what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteI guess it looks like that...but I have to disagree - Amy was such a complicated, interesting character. The character here is just 'mysterious', or at least that's how she is in the book.
DeleteI have read this book as well and I hope that it is does it justice as well just like the movie adaption that John Green had recently with his book The Fault in Our Stars.
ReplyDeleteI think partly why TFIOS worked is because John Green was on set and I guess supervising, one way or another. Hopefully he is as involved here as he was in his previous movie.
