Thursday Movie Picks is hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves. For every last Thursday of the month, the theme shifts from film to television, with this month being about high school in television. While I don't watch shows set in a high school now, I did watch a bunch of them before. Here are my picks for the week.
The OC - My favorite season of this show is its last season, when Misha Barton left the show. While it did get axed partly due to her departure, this was a pretty good season. There wasn't so much drama, especially between Ryan and Marissa. Taylor, who was portrayed as someone 'evil' was pretty decent, and I was shipping Ryan and Taylor hard. I thought it did end well and gave its characters closure. This was also the only season that I completed; I only watched bits and pieces from the first three seasons.
Dawson's Creek - I felt bad for Jen Lindley in all aspects (as a character and her storyline). While she was still included in the narrative for the first two seasons, she was eventually shifted to the subplot as the show focused more on the triangle between Dawson, Joey, and Pacey. She wasn't given character development, and I hate how the show pitted her against Joey and their relationship never got any redemption. I only got until season 4 for this, but still #TeamPacey.
Veronica Mars - My theme within the theme for this week are shows I never finished. I've only completed the first season and got too busy to watch the latter seasons that I forgot about them. I did like this show; Kristen Bell played Veronica perfectly.
