06/16: Monthly Recap

So that was June. This month has gone by really fast! I've only watched four movies this month, by far the lowest for the year. I've been preoccupied with so many things, and I don't think things will change anytime soon. With that, here are the four movies I've seen this month.

First Time Screenings

5 to 7 - It's not a great movie, nor it is bad. It's just in between. You already know how stories like this usually sway in movies, so nothing was surprising. The actors gave good performances though.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 - I liked the first movie, so I gave this one a shot. It's not charming and cute like its predecessor. The plot and characters were weak, and it dragged on.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping - I think I could watch this over and over again. If you're familiar with Samberg's work and of Lonely Island songs, this movie can be up your alley.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - There is something about Tina Fey's delivery that makes her movies very 'Tina Fey'-ish, and it was evident here. As much as I would like to love this movie, its tone was a bit unbalanced, and it kind of disappointed me.

  1. It took me a while to get used to the tone in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, but I enjoyed it after that. I'm so glad you enjoyed Popstar though, I'm a huge Lonely Island fan and I can't wait to see it!

  2. Popstar might be one I check out on DVD because I do love Samburg and the Lonely Island. Otherwise I haven't seen any of these.
